HOWARD, Pa. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson will host a public forum at the 104th Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg on Saturday, January 4, 2020. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Susquehanna and Delaware Rooms at the Farm Show Complex.
For more than a century, farmers have gathered each January at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, Pa. This week-long event is the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the nation, showcasing more than 6,000 animals and featuring more than 10,000 exhibits.
HOWARD, Pa. – Today, Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson announced that Mr. Braden Zukowski of Saxonburg, has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
Braden Zukowski is a senior at Knoch High School, and he is the son of Brad Zukowski and Shauna Braun-Zukowski.
HOWARD, Pa. – Today, Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson announced Mr. Peter Van Cise of Julian, Pennsylvania has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Peter Van Cise is a senior at Bald Eagle Area High School, and he is the son of Ann Van Cise and Dana Van Cise, an Air Force veteran. He is the youngest of seven children.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5430, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, with strong bipartisan support by a vote of 385-41. The agreement is the first major overhaul of U.S. trade policy with Mexico and Canada since the passage of NAFTA in 1993. WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn "GT" Thompson (PA-15) and John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) announced the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority (JRA) as the recipient of a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). The $1,396,497 grant will be used for the Johnstown Urban Industrial Park Connector Street project.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.Res. 755, a resolution impeaching Donald John Trump, President of the United States, for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress by a vote of 230-197-1 and 229-198-1 respectively. Three Democrats joined House Republicans in their bipartisan opposition. The resolution, including two articles of impeachment, will now make its way to the Senate for a trial. WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1158 and H.R. 1865, a pair of bills to fund government operations through Fiscal Year 2020 by a vote of 280-138 and 297-120 respectively.
