WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representatives Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA) and April McClain Delaney (D-MD) today introduced the Health Care Worker and First Responder Fairness Act, which will exempt health care workers and first responders from Social Security’s Retirement Earnings Test (RET) during public health emergencies.

HOWARD, Pa. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson today announced more than $2 million in federal funding for the Howard Fire Company and Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services (MVEMS).

The Howard Fire Company will receive $98,653 to replace and upgrade the company’s existing 25-year-old rescue jet boat, which is vital for water-based rescue operations.

As of 12:01 a.m. on October 1, funding for many federal government operations has lapsed. I supported a package passed by the House that would extend current funding until November 21, 2025, but the proposal did not pass the Senate. 

This means two things:
