BRADFORD, Pa. – Today, U.S. Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson announced that the Venango County Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) is the recipient of a POWER grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). The $1.5 million grant will be used to renovate the now-vacant Oil City National Bank building into a the VCEDA's new Business Innovation Center. The mixed-use space will house a brew pub, event space, and innovation center designed with future entrepreneurs in mind.

BRADFORD, Pa. – Today, U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson announced that Clearfield County, Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania State University, DuBois campus are the recipients of a POWER grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). The $725,850 grant will be used to expand the North Central PA LaunchBox and Innovation Collaborative with additional training equipment and entrepreneurial programming.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) was recently awarded a $8,409,444 Automated Driving System Demonstration Grant by the U.S. Department of Transportation, to test the safe integration of automated driving systems within work zones.

In May of 2019, Thompson was joined by nine Members of the Pennsylvania Congressional Delegation in expressing their support of PennDOT's grant application to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao (Letter Attached).

Washington, DCCongressman Glenn ‘GT' Thompson (PA-15) voted in favor of H.R. 4378, a short-term appropriations bill known as a continuing resolution, which will fund government operations at Fiscal Year 2019 levels beyond the beginning of Fiscal Year 2020 (October 1, 2019) and for seven weeks, through November 21, 2019.

Washington, DC – Last night, Representatives Glenn ‘GT' Thompson (PA-15) and Matt Cartwright (PA-08) introduced H.R.4248, the Abandoned Mine Land Reauthorization Act to reauthorize the Abandoned Mine Land (AML) trust fund, originally established in 1977 via the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act. The bill will not only clean up abandoned coal mines, but foster economic development in communities who have been impacted by their closure.
