WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. Upon passage, Rep. Thompson released the following statement:
“This year’s National Defense Authorization Act makes a substantial investment in personnel, equipping warfighters with the tools and resources necessary to counter rapidly developing global threats, while ensuring continued deterrence from America’s foreign adversaries.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA) on Thursday recognized students from the Austin Area School District (AASD) for their contributions to the National Christmas Tree display.
AASD in Potter County - Pennsylvania's smallest school district - was selected to decorate the Pennsylvania Tree, which is part of the National Christmas Tree display's "Pathway of Peace" south of the White House at the Ellipse.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA-15) and Don Davis (D-NC-1) introduced the Keep Our Correctional Officers Paid Act, which would ensure that correctional officers at Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facilities continue to be paid year-round.
60th Inaugural Ceremonies
The 60th Presidential Inauguration will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C., on the west front of the U.S. Capitol. COLLEGE TOWNSHIP, Pa.– Today, U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson announced the ClearWater Conservancy in College Township as the recipient of a $2 million Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER) grant. This investment will construct a local conservation hub and increase environmental stewardship throughout the region.
INDIANA, Pa.– Today, U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson announced the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TEC) in Indiana as the recipient of a $30,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). This investment will develop a comprehensive five-year Tech Economy Ecosystem strategy for Indiana County titled "Innovate Indiana.”
Tropical Storm Debby brought heavy rains and considerable flooding to the northern region of our district from August 9 -10, 2024. On September 11, 2024, a Disaster Declaration was officially issued for Pennsylvania, making federal funding available to affected individuals in Lycoming, Potter, Tioga, and Union counties. Affected residents have until November 12, 2024, to apply for assistance.
