Thompson Announces $30,000 in Federal Funding for Indiana
INDIANA, Pa.– Today, U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson announced the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TEC) in Indiana as the recipient of a $30,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). This investment will develop a comprehensive five-year Tech Economy Ecosystem strategy for Indiana County titled "Innovate Indiana.”
“I am pleased to announce $30,000 in federal funding for TEC to develop a technology-driven economic plan in Indiana,” Rep. Thompson said. “TEC has a proven track record of supporting local entrepreneurs, and residents in Indiana will benefit from new, innovative technologies and workforce development. By investing in TEC's Innovate Indiana plan, we can enhance the local tech economy to help create a more vibrant community that will be enjoyed for years to come.”

ARC is an economic development agency of the federal government and 13 state governments focusing on 423 counties across the Appalachian region. ARC's mission is to innovate, partner, and invest to build community capacity, strengthen economic growth in Appalachia, and help the region achieve socioeconomic parity with the nation.
Combined with $30,000 in local funding, the total project will result in $60,000 in local economic development.
