WASHINGTON U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, chairman of the House Agriculture Nutrition Subcommittee, supports the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s announcement of a Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) for Texans recovering from Hurricane Harvey.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue announced today that households who may not normally be eligible under regular SNAP rules may qualify for D-SNAP if they meet the disaster income limits and have qualifying disaster-related expenses.
