WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn "GT" Thompson and Ron Kind's (D-WI) bipartisan H.R. 5608, the Chronic Wasting Disease Research and Management Act, passed the House of Representatives. This bill will help combat Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) by funding research and supporting state and tribal efforts to develop and implement management strategies.

WASHINGTON, D.C.U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson submitted public comments to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) strongly opposing the proposed P3 Major Bridge Tolling plan on Canoe Creek Bridges in Clarion County.

Rep. Thompson, who has been an outspoken critic of the proposal, questioned how PennDOT determined to toll the Canoe Creek Bridges without conducting its due diligence.

Enough with tolls on Pennsylvania's roadways | Opinion

Pennsylvanians' wallets have been taking a hit, from grocery stores to gas pumps and far beyond. On average gas prices are up more than $1.30 per gallon nationally. Yet, in the state with the second highest gas tax in the country, at 57.6 cents per gallon, PennDOT is still planning to increase the cost of travel with a proposal to toll nine major bridges throughout the Commonwealth.
