Pennsylvanians' wallets have been taking a hit, from grocery stores to gas pumps and far beyond. On average gas prices are up more than $1.30 per gallon nationally. Yet, in the state with the second highest gas tax in the country, at 57.6 cents per gallon, PennDOT is still planning to increase the cost of travel with a proposal to toll nine major bridges throughout the Commonwealth.

Congressman Thompson was released from Walter Reed National Military Center Friday evening after receiving outpatient treatment for COVID-19 and has returned to his home in Pennsylvania to recover. He thanks the Attending Physician at the U.S. Capitol along with the doctors, nurses and staff at Walter Reed for their concern and care. Congressman Thompson plans to work virtually from home next week.
Congressman Thompson on Friday afternoon began experiencing cold-like symptoms and was promptly tested for COVID-19. While he is vaccinated, the test came back positive. Out of an abundance of caution, he is being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is in good spirits and further updates will be made available in the coming days.
