Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Southern Airways Express, LLC (Southern) a contract to provide commercial air service flights from the DuBois Regional Airport (DUJ) to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Baltimore/Washington International-Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). The service is offered under the DOT’s Essential Air Service Program.
U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) today announced $500,000.00 in funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission to the Pennsylvania Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship, located in Russell, Warren County. The grant will be dedicated to the Center’s Nature Tourism Cluster Development in the Pennsylvania Wilds, which is intended to develop a network of small businesses to support the increased need for products and services in the region.

Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) today announced the awarding of $33,400 to Pennsylvania from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to help combat White-Nose Syndrome, a deadly fungus that has killed between 5.7 million and 6.7 million bats across North America. This is the seventh year the USFWS has provided grants to states for the purpose of research and addressing the disease.
Oil City, PA –U.S. Rep. Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today announced $586,075 in financial assistance to more than 360 Pennsylvania dairy producers enrolled in the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Margin Protection Program for 2016. The payments, which are for the period of May and June, will be the largest since the program began in 2014, totaling nearly $11.2 million nationwide.
