WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson today announced that PennDOT has been awarded more than $35 million to construct a high-speed interchange at I-99/I-80 in Centre County.
Rep. Thompson, who has been an ardent supporter of the project, has consistently advocated for PennDOT's application for federal discretionary funding through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant program. The total grant award is $35,110,410.
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019, which boosts defense spending, increases military personnel and gives a pay raise to our troops.
NDAA is an annual bill that authorizes some of the most basic and essential responsibilities of Congress – such as funding our Armed Forces and national defenses and paying the salaries of our servicemen and women. It passed by a vote of 351-66.

Ms. Smith, of Bellefonte, won for her mixed-media drawing titled "Spoons." An independent panel of judges selected Ms. Smith's work from 39 entries, which is one of the largest groups of students to participate in Pennsylvania's Fifth Congressional District art competition.
