Clarion, PA – This week, U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)approved a$1.5 million grant to Indiana County, for the County Broadband Deployment Initiative. The project will deploy over 100 miles of fiber optic cable and establish 8 wireless telecom sites, providing high-speed broadband access to approximately 825 households and 75 businesses.

Clarion, PA—Today, U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson (PA-15) hosted a field hearing of a working group of Congressional and Pennsylvania State Legislators, entitled Local Voices: Examining PennDOT's P3 Major Bridge Tolling Proposals at the Clarion County Administrative Building.

The purpose of the hearing was to examine the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Major Bridge Tolling Proposal and receive testimony from PennDOT's Secretary Yassmin Gramian.

The Administration, through executive order, has chosen to terminate the Migrant Protection Protocols, axe asylum agreements, and promote ‘catch and release.' Since 1982, the Congressional Art Competition has provided Members of Congress the opportunity to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of young constituents. The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2021 highlights the many benefits milk provides to young Americans. From providing numerous essential nutrients to multiple health benefits, milk remains critical to youth development.

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Glenn 'GT' Thompson voted against H.R. 1319, a $1.9 trillion package thinly veiled as COVID-19 relief. Following the vote, Mr. Thompson issued the following statement:

"More than a decade ago, Pennsylvania's Act 44 was passed under the misguided assumption that the federal government would grant the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission permission to place tolls across the I-80 corridor. That ill-advised plan was met with great opposition from grassroots activists, the business community, and local lawmakers, who refused to sit by and allow years of mismanagement and questionable practices to go unchecked. Corruption was exposed, Turnpike associates went to jail, and there was a victory for the public good.
