Washington, D.C. – Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (R-PA) and Representative Jason Altmire (D-PA) today formally introduced H.R. 1041, the Fairness in Medicare Bidding Act, to a standing-room-only audience of reporters, small businesses owners, and consumer advocates. The deficit neutral H.R. 1041, repeals the flawed Medicare Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) competitive bidding program.

Washington, D.C. -- John “Jack” Mellgard, of Clearfield County, will soon join the midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy, according to U.S. Representative Glenn `GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, who nominated him. John is the son of Reverend and Mrs. J. Robert Mellgard.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today voted in support of House Amendment (H. AMDT.) # 214, a measure to prohibit funds for the Department of Education Regulations on Gainful Employment. The Department of Education’s Gainful Employment regulations are a controversial regulatory process that would impose arbitrary requirements on proprietary schools, deny access to students and undermine the strength of the American workforce.
