Washington, D.C. – Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today voted to support H. Con. Res. 34, the Fiscal Year 2012 Budget Resolution. The measure passed the House by a vote of 235-193. Thompson released the following statement after final passage:
Washington, D.C. - The House Natural Resources Committee today held a Full Committee markup on three energy bills cosponsored by Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson.
Washington, D.C.– Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson tonight voted to support H.R. 1363, a stop-gap funding measure to avert a government shutdown and reduce government spending. The full House passed the bill by a vote of 348-70. The Senate unanimously passed identical legislation moments earlier by voice vote. Washington, D.C. – Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today voted to support H.R 910, the Energy Tax Prevention Act of 2011, a bill to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from acting beyond its authority granted by Congress. H.R. 910 passed the full House today by a vote of 255-172.

Washington, D.C.— John DiEugenio, of Boalsburg, will soon join the cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. , according to U.S. Representative Glenn `GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, who nominated him. John is the son of Dr. Richard and Janet DiEugenio.

Washington, D.C. – Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson will join the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee tomorrow, March 23rd, for a field hearing to review the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the health care reform law passed in March of 2009. The hearing, “PPACA in Pennsylvania: One Year of Broken Promises,” is being held by Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee Chairman Joe Pitts (PA-16). Thompson, a former therapist and licensed nursing home administrator of 28 years, was asked to join the hearing at Chairman Pitt’s request.
