A plan to reduce input costs for farmers and food costs for consumers is being heralded by 94 House Republicans, but there's doubt the proposal will catch the attention of the Biden administration.

In a letter to the president drafted by U.S. Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson, R-Pa., and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Republicans outline nine solutions they believe will lessen the regulatory costs they say are hampering U.S. agricultural production.

RESSON – U.S. Rep. Glenn "G.T." Thompson issued three challenges during the third annual Agriculture Summit at Mount Aloysius College on Monday.

Thompson, the House Committee on Agriculture's GOP leader, called upon schools to establish or expand agriculture programs and asked land grant universities to continue getting the word out about what farmers, ranchers and foresters do to help the environment and the climate.

He then emphasized the role "all of us" could play.
