WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) has introduced a bill that will invest in the next generation of farmers and help them pay back their student loans through an existing program geared toward public service.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) has been named Vice Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee for the 115th Congress.

House Agriculture Committee Chairman K. Michael Conaway (R-TX) made the announcement this morning as he welcomed six new Members of Congress to serve on the Agriculture Committee.

Chairman Conaway said that Rep. Thompson will be an experienced Vice Chairman and noted that he most recently oversaw the Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry in the 114th Congress.
