WASHINGTON – House Leadership today appointed U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson, Vice Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, to the conference committee tasked with negotiating a final Farm Bill.

The House and Senate have each passed their own versions of the 2018 Farm Bill, and a final bill must pass both chambers of Congress before it can be sent to the president to be signed into law.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson today announced a federal grant that will help the Warren County Development Association complete a local project that will grow jobs and boost the economic environment in the City of Warren.

USDA Rural Development awarded the $90,000 grant to the Association for its 201 Liberty Redevelopment Project. Its goal is to increase educational opportunities, small-business development and growth, and enhanced business activities in the City of Warren.

"While I appreciate the President's diplomatic efforts, I firmly believe the evidence presented to Congress shows that Russia attempted to undermine our democracy. Russia continues to pose a threat to our national security and should be viewed as an adversary. We must continue to empower our intelligence community to ensure there are safeguards against foreign influence or interference in our electoral system."

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson today announced a federal grant that will help two communities in Forest County create a downtown revitalization plan.

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded $21,000 to Forest County for the Forest County Downtown Revitalization project, which will focus on the downtowns of Tionesta Borough and the Village of Marienville. Local sources will match $9,000 bringing the total project funding to $30,000.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson today announced a federal grant that will help the Bradford Regional Airport (BRA) develop a business strategy for a 13-acre site at the airport.

The Appalachian Regional Commission awarded $29,500 to the Bradford Regional Airport Authority to help with the strategic plan. Local sources will match $29,500 bringing the total project funding to $59,000.

WASHINGTONU.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT' Thompson today announced that Mr. James D. Nuhfer of Edinboro, Pa. has accepted a fully-qualified appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

James is a 2017 graduate of General McLane High School, and he is the son of Mr. andMrs. David and Sandy Nuhfer of Edinboro. After high school, James enlisted in the Air Force and was accepted into the U.S. Air Force Preparatory School.
