Galsick, 17,  of Wilcox has accepted a fully qualified appointment for admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.  Matthew is the son of Judy and Thomas Galsick and currently is a senior at Johnsonburg Area High School.

Washington, D.C.—Erick Coolidge of Wellsboro has been named vice chairman of the newly created Dairy Advisory Commission under the U.S. Department of Agriculture.   U.S. Representative Glenn `GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, nominated Coolidge to the Commission back in September 2009, and he won the position in January of this year.

Washington, D.C.—U.S. Representative Glenn `GT’ Thompson, R-Howard, today applauded the decision by Judge Sean McLaughlin, of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, denying the motions for reconsideration by the U.S. Forest Service on McLaughlin’s  December 15, 2009 decision.  That decision allowed drilling to continue in the Allegheny National Forest.
