Washington, D.C. – Today, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers finalized their actions to broaden the federal government's authority to regulate waters under the Clean Water Act. Washington, D.C.—Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) and Charles B. Rangel (NY-13) introduced H.R. 2516, the Veterans E-Health and Telemedicine Support Act of 2015.

Washington, D.C.—Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) and Tim Ryan (OH-13) introduced the Veteran Wellness Act, legislation that will improve Veteran Service Organizations’ (VSO) ability to promote good health among our nation’s veterans. Veterans across the country turn to these organizations to participate in a wide variety of programs to build and cultivate a community of support among fellow veterans. These facilities are a place of comfort and familiarity for thousands of men and women and their families.

Washington, D.C.—Today, U.S. Representatives Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) and Joe Courtney (CT-02) introduced H.R. 2407, the School Milk Nutrition Act of 2015.

“Milk is the number one source of nine essential nutrients in many young American’s diets and provides many significant health benefits,” said Congressman Thompson. “The School Milk Nutrition Act of 2015 seeks to reverse the decline of milk consumption in schools throughout Pennsylvania and across the country,” added Thompson.

Brookville, PA – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded a federal grant in the amount of $8,078,900 to Brookville Municipal Authority in Brookville, Pennsylvania.

Huntingdon, PA – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) announced that the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has awarded a federal grant in the amount of $200,000.00 to J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1735, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016, by a vote of 269-151, with Thompson voting in the affirmative.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) announced his support for passage of the USA FREEDOM Act, H.R. 2048, which garnered the support of 338 members of the House of Representatives.

“The passage of the USA FREEDOM Act is the result of strong, bipartisan negotiations that strike a balance in order to protect American citizen’s rights without dealing a blow to lawful and warranted surveillance efforts,” said Congressman Thompson.
