Con. Res. 30, a resolution supporting the designation of 2015 as the International Year of Soils and supporting locally led soil conservation.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) issued this statement following passage of H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act:

“Today, the House passed a historic, bipartisan bill that will put an end to the flawed Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate and extend the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

For more than a decade, Congress has continually used a band-aid to address the Sustainable Growth Rate, rather than offering permanent reforms.
