Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today voted to support H.R. 1633, the Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives vote of 268-150. H.R. 1633, which prohibits the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating farm dust that is already regulated at the state or local level, is the fourth federal regulatory reform measure that has passed the House in the last two weeks.

H.R. 3010 is the second of two bipartisan supported jobs measures dealing with federal regulatory reform that passed the House this week. Yesterday, the House passed H.R. 527, the Regulatory Flexibility Improvement Act of 2011, by a vote of 263-159.

“Hi, this is Congressman Glenn Thompson, U.S. Representative for the 5th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.
Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration has awarded Emergency Relief in the amount $1,742,280 to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the repair and reconstruction of Federal-aid highways and roads that suffered serious damage during Tropical Storm Lee, according to U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson. Federal-aid infrastructure in a total of 18 Pennsylvania counties, including Lycoming, were damaged as a result of the storm’s heavy rains and flooding.
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson today voted to support a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution of the United States. During general debate, Representative Thompson delivered remarks in support of the resolution. The measure, H. J. Res. 2, received the support of 236 Republicans and 25 Democrats, falling short of a two-thirds majority needed for passage in the U.S. House of Representatives.
