Thompson Votes in Support of Continuing Resolution

September 30, 2015

Washington, DC – Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) today voted in favor of a short-term appropriations measure, known as a Continuing Resolution (CR), which passed the House this afternoon. The CR ensures the government will continue to fully operate at current spending levels. After the vote, Thompson released the following statement:

“While the House and Senate continue to negotiate with the White House on must-pass legislation, bringing government to a halt will not produce a positive outcome for anyone.

“I will continue to work with my colleagues to address the major issues most affecting our country and residents of Pennsylvania’s 5th District. Today’s vote extends funding for the government for nearly three months and will provide a venue to address many unresolved issues.”
