March 14, 2020

WASHINGTON, DC– Early this morning, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 6201, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act by a vote of 363-40-1. The bill will increase access to free testing and paid leave for those affected by Coronavirus. Following the vote, Congressman Glenn ‘GT' Thompson issued the following statement:

"In times of uncertainty, concern, and crisis, the American public deserves leadership that transcends partisanship in the pursuit of clarity, pragmatism, and solutions. I'm pleased that Congress worked to come to a bipartisan agreement that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of those who call the United States home. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act, coupled with previous emergency supplemental funding, and the additional $50 billion that will be made available through President Trump's national emergency declaration will help us take the necessary steps towards addressing the Coronavirus.
