Thompson Issues Statement on Democrats' Inability to Lead in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following the passage of several bills Wednesday night, U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson released the following statement:

"Last night, I voted in favor of supporting critical emergency aid to Ukraine, banning the import of Russian oil, and funding for our national defense.

"While I continue to advocate for programs and projects that are of benefit to the district, I could not support the entire 2,741-page bill that spends $1.5 trillion and was released at 3:30 a.m. that morning.

"Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat majority are not focused on governance, this process has been an abject failure of the most basic of congressional responsibilities."
