Thompson to Host Telephone Townhall to help Seniors Navigate Medicare Open Enrollment Period

Medicare Open Enrollment starts today, runs through December 7

HOWARD, Pa.U.S. Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson will host a telephone townhall on October 26, with an expert from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to answer questions seniors may have about Medicare Open Enrollment. Today marks the start of open enrollment, the annual period where Americans can sign up for Medicare or make changes to their plans, and it ends on Tuesday, December 7.

"During Medicare Open Enrollment, seniors can sign up for or review their current Medicare plan and possibly save money or have more efficient coverage," Rep. Thompson said. "I encourage seniors to review their health plans and sign up for my telephone townhall on Tuesday, October 26 with an expert from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services to answer any questions regarding the enrollment process."

Rep. Thompson will host a telephone townhall for constituents who have questions regarding their Medicare plans. Joining him on the line will be an expert from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
