Thompson Hires Parish Braden as New Communications Director

January 19, 2011

Washington, D.C.—U.S. Representative Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, R- Howard, today announced he has hired Parish Braden as his new communications director. Braden will replace Tina Kreisher, who is retiring.

“Parish has worked on Capitol Hill for a Member of Congress from Maryland, and has experience with Pennsylvania from serving as the Northeast Regional Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee,” said Thompson. “He will be an experienced and knowledgeable addition to the staff serving the people of the Fifth Congressional District.”

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Braden was a senior legislative assistant to former Representative Wayne T. Gilchrest, R-Maryland, for two years and prior to that was a legislative assistant and legislative correspondent for Gilchrest.

At the Republican National Committee, Braden served as the principal spokesperson for the Northeast Region where he was responsible for ten states during the 2010 election cycle, including key statewide and targeted congressional races in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

Contact numbers for Braden will remain the same as they were for Kreisher, and he will begin the new position today.
