Thompson Announces John “Jack” Soult, III of Clearfield Has Accepted an Appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) announced that John “Jack” Soult, III, of Clearfield, has accepted an appointment for admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy. John is the son of John and Lisa Soult, Jr.

“It is truly my honor to congratulate John Soult on his acceptance to the U.S. Air Force Academy,” said Rep. Thompson. “This young gentleman has proven to be an exceptional student and his commitment to community service is remarkable. I wish him the very best as he takes on this new and exciting challenge.”

John “Jack” Soult, III, 18, attends Clearfield Area High School and ranks 2nd in a class of 166 students. Mr. Soult is active in Student Government, Student Council and is a member of the National Honor Society, as well as a member of the varsity track and soccer teams at Clearfield High.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Soult volunteers his time with the Special Olympics, Children’s Aid Society and the Clearfield Soccer Association.

Mr. Soult’s paternal grandparents are John G. Soult, Sr. and the late Ann H. Soult, Clearfield, Pa., and maternal grandparents are the late Martin L. Hoffman and the late Elizabeth Hoffman of Pottstown, Pa.
