Thompson Announces 2015 Congressional Art Competition
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05) announced the details for the 2015 Congressional Art Competition. As in years past, the winning piece of artwork from each congressional district across the country will be displayed in a special exhibit in the U.S. Capitol.
“The Congressional Art Competition is something that I look forward to every spring,” said Thompson. “This is a wonderful opportunity for young artists in the Fifth Congressional District to showcase their talents and represent their schools and communities in the nation’s capital. Each year, I am amazed by the talent of the students and I am eager to see all of the entries while back in the district.”
All entries for the 2015 competition must be received by Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:00 PM. The judging will take place on Saturday, April 25th in DuBois at the Winkler Gallery of Fine Art.
