Media Advisory: Thompson Holding Legislative Forum on the Allegheny National Forest

Washington, DC –Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-05), chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry, will host a legislative forum, on Friday, Aug. 21, focused on the Allegheny National Forest (ANF). Thompson, along with state and local elected officials, will hear testimony from U.S. Forest Service officials and stakeholders on recent legislation and the future of the forest.

WHO:

Thompson; State Sen. Scott Hutchinson; State Reps. Kathy Rapp, Martin ‘Marty’ Causer, Matt Gabler and Lee James. Testimony will be given by two panels:

Panel 1:

Rob Fallon, District Forest Ranger; and Dr. Susan Stout, Forest Science Research.

Panel 2:

Expert witnesses: Forest County Commissioner Norm Wimer; Ken Kane, Consulting Forester; Retired Congressman John Peterson; and Kevin Moody of the Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association.
