Thompson Announces Appointment of Hannah Milliron to the U.S. Naval Academy

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) announced that Ms. Hannah Milliron, of Otto Township, McKean County, has accepted a fully qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.  Hannah is the daughter of Kathleen and the late Bruce Milliron.

“Ms. Hannah Milliron recently graduated from the Naval Academy Prep School with an excellent academic record,” Thompson said.  “She ranked first in her graduating class at Otto-Eldred High School.  I have no doubt that this record of accomplishment with translate to her studies at the United States Naval Academy.”

During her first marking period at the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School, Ms. Milliron was elected master-of-arms of her platoon, responsible for maintenance and security of her platoon’s area.  At Otto-Eldred, she served as senior editor of the school’s yearbook, class president, and captain of the softball and basketball teams.  In addition, she plans to play softball for the U.S. Naval Academy.
