Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-5) announced that Ms. Alexandra Treglia, of State College, has accepted a fully qualified appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.  Alexandra is the daughter of Ann and Stephen Treglia.  She is also the granddaughter of Ruth Novack of Altoona.

“Ms. Treglia’s character and work ethic have been the cornerstones of her experience at State College High School and her most recent studies at the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School,” Thompson said.  “I am happy that she will soon join her sister, Francesca, who will be a senior at the Naval Academy next school year.”

Through her studies at the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School, Ms. Treglia was nominated to be a Platoon Executive Officer.  Later, she earned the Rowan Award, which stands for superior leadership and character within a platoon.  A graduate of State College High School, Ms. Treglia excelled in the classroom and served as a captain of the school’s basketball team.  She also was involved in Little Lion Ambassadors, a group responsible for hosting tours for new students and participating in community service activities.
